This tester conforms to test standard of method A and method B. The plastic film is clamped pneumatically on a round specimen holder (dia. 127mm) in an instant. The impact head used in method A is dia. 38.1mm and in method B is dia. 50.8mm. The dart is fixed top the machine. After a desired dart is selected and height is adjusted, release the dart with the electronic magnet. Film’s resistance to impact can thus be tested. Generally, 1 specimen is tested at a time and after 20 tests, record height and dart weight under broken and unbroken conditions for every test. This serves as a reference for the film’s resistance to impact.
