The sand paper #60 is applied on the drum and the sample for abrasion (dia. 16mm) is pressed tight on the sand paper with a load specified in the standard. The drum starts to roll at a speed of 40 rpm and stops when sample’s wearing distance reaches 40M. The loss of weight after abrasion can be observed as the abrasive characteristic of the sample.
